Imperial has formed an alliance with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to encourage conservation of America’s forests. The NFF aims to engage the public, promote health and encourage enjoyment in the country’s National Forests, which provide clean air and drinking water to over 123 million Americans. For every pool table sold, Imperial are committed to planting five trees, with a goal of 15,000 trees in 2017, to help the environment and raise awareness.
“We recognize the importance of maintaining our forests and want to do our part to preserve such an important resource,” said Zach DiMotta, President, Imperial International. “When you purchase an Imperial pool table, you are contributing to the health and longevity of our forests for generations.”
“We are excited Imperial has taken the next step in preserving our forests,” said Wes Swaffar Director of Ecosystem Services, The National Forest Foundation. “Forests are an essential part of life and benefit us daily.”
About the National Forest Foundation
The National Forest Foundation was created in 1993 with a simple mission: bring people together to restore and enhance our National Forests and Grasslands. As the nonprofit partner of the U.S. Forest Service, the NFF works with agencies and thousands of Americans each year to promote the health and public enjoyment of our 193 million acre National Forest System. They believe that communities should play a leading role in determining the future of our National Forests and Grasslands, so they focus their efforts on connecting these communities, and the people who comprise them, to the tools, knowledge, and funding to become active and devoted stewards of this incredible public estate.
